Can someone explaine me DMR at lot level with scenario,

Hi,

Dynamic modification level defined when the system has to check to the change in the stage of inspection.

The level can be at lot creation or at Usage decision.

If the level is lot creation then system do the quality level update at lot creation. At this level if the inspection lot is rejected, the system updates the quality level again when the usage decision is made. The new inspection stage is used by the system to calculate the sample sizes for the next inspection lot.

If we use the usage decision level then the quality level only gets update once you do the UD,means the next inspection stage will be get selected on the basis of UD & the modification rule defined in DMR.

Hi Nirmala,

Through DMR, Quality Level can be updated at the Lot Creation Level ( DMR at Lot Level) or at the UD Level.

Let me attempt to explain this in detail:

DMR at Lot Creation Level

Suppose we have defined DMR as 2 lots to inspected followed by 5 lots to be skipped and DMR is to be updated at Lot Creation Level.

At the time when 2nd Lot is created, system assumes that this Lot will be cleared with Okay UD and changes stage in Quality Level. If at all this lot is rejected,system corrects the quality level for an unsuccessful inspection.

The catch here is that change in the quality level does not affect inspection lots that were created in the meantime( between creation of inspection Lot and till the time UD is not made on this lot)

DMR at Usage Decision Level

If you set the indicator Dynamic modification at usage decision, the system updates the quality level for the current inspection lot when the usage decision is made.

At the time when the 2nd Lot is at UD and is rejected, Quality Level is updated for the next lot. In this sense there is no lead in the Updation of the Quality Level.

This is a dicey topic and I am sure deserves more comments from our expert panel in SDN.

Hi Nirmala,

Dynamic modification can take place on inspection lot or inspection characteristic level

The dynamic modification rule lays down the conditions under which inspections are tightened or reduced. The system evaluates the number and results of the last checks with this rule

In other word DMR in lot level means that you can configue the system so that the lot is skipped for inspeation as per the criteria maintained ..... like if 5 lots are accepted then next lot will not be subjected to quality inspection .........
