FMIFIIT table : Fm doc not sequencial

Former Member

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum.

Needed help in FM.

In table FMIFIIT, FM document numbers generated for FI doc are not sequential. The document number range is set for system generation internally.

For eg :

900178

900170

900187

Document number from 900171 to 900186 are missing in FMIFIIT and also in FMIFIHD.

Is there a reason for this ?

But in BI the missing document from 900171 to 900186 exist but the balance are 0. The same missing document has a debit & credit making the balance zero. When I checked the FI document for such missing FM doc in BI, there are two FM documents number for same FI DOC. The other Fm doc has some balances making the total actual value.

The BI DS is build on FMIFIIT & FMIFIHD.

The question is why does this happen, is there any logic behind it.

Thanks,

Chandru

Hi Chandru,

The reason can be a lot of different things. There is one report RFFMS910 for document number range and with the "delete existing doc." selection. Maybe this report had been run.

Please check the notes 387464 and 722977 to solve the problem.

To reconstruct FM documents based on FI, use note 189761.

If you have missing headers you can recreate with report RFFRMC12.

You can check the notes in the following menu:

I hope it helps

Thanks Vanessa.

RFFMS910 was not run.

I have checked all the notes that was specified. Nothing worked out.

The FM number ranges generated for FI doc in both FMIFIHD & FMIFIIT are not sequential and that is the worry.

Is there any other solution that you know.

We are in ECC 5.0, is this the same in all iimplementations ?

Thanks in advance

Chandru
