Application Monitors

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what benefit there is to configuring the application monitors in SRM. We currently look at the monitors regularly but sometimes come across red herrings where by the workflow is not actually in error.

I understand there are SAP notes to fix these but we would like to know if it is worth while doing so and whether many other people actually use the monitors.

Application monitor is not just for WF, but does a bigger role. It serves to monitor any failed distribution whether it may be SC getting converted to PR/PO, GOA, contract etc. Any locked WF, SC without a proper WF....so on...It is recommended and I'll say a must to keep an eye on it.
