Cannot generate control file in form 24 print preview

Dear All

When we are trying to print/print preview form 24 (pc00_m40_f24), we are receiving the error

"Cannot generate control file (RFC1179)

We are on ECC6.0 with Oracle 10g as database and Solaris 10 as OS. We have SAP GUI 7.10 with patch level 6 installed. We are using a printer with device type as SAPWIN : Rel4.x/SAPlpd 4.09+ ONLY, access method F and host printer as __DEFAULT

Steps of error

Run transaction pc00_m40_f24

specify the required parameters and execute

in the report we click on Print Form 27A and specify the printer

on clicking print/print preview, we receive the mentioned error

Hi,

The error does not have anything to do with Oracle.

But I did a simple search for notes (it is very easy, you should try it) and I found the following notes:

421667 Syslog: "cannot create control file"

44009 SAPSPrint or TCP/IP print server

926170 Problems with printer names in non-latin1 font

107194 Host printer name with spaces not permitted

13376 Spooler prints slowly or has stuck entries

64628 Using network printers from R/3

Please, check them and, if you still have problems, then change to a more relevant forum.
