Hi Expert,

I need to get some confirmation on this.

If you're scheduling a DB jobs (Database check) thru t-code DB13, the job will use a BTC work processes to execute (or at least to get the information from the brconnect run).

If you run the brconnect -f check from the command line, the process will not use any WP at all.

Is this true???

So, can I conclude that I want to save WP, the best thing is to schedule the job from the OS?

Hi,

correct.

but run DB check using SAP background job will give you more functionalities : easy to schedule, job log, job status etc. although as mentioned, it will consume BTC slots.
