When we are creating accounting group why we have to start with yor z only why can't we start with other letters.please help me
Hi.
Hope Its understandable with others answer.
by using Z or Y you not only restore standard settings of SAP accounts, documents, conditions etc...
But also its clear for other consultant to know that Z n Y are customized documents.
Standard recommendation of SAP,Z n Y are left unsed by standards settings any where in SAP.

Hi,
See as far as SAP is concerned they have all standard accounting group defined as prefix other than
Z/Y. If you use other alphabets excepting Z/Y then these may affect the general SAP setting. So SAP
has made provision to define accounting group with Z/Y which may be required for Client Customizing
Work.

Hi,
In SAP while creating or copying for new things, one must be sure the naming convention should begins with the letter Z or Y, as it is an indicator in release upgrades not to over write any created data.

Hi,
This is the requirement from SAP AG, not only Z-, you can use Y- also, Z- & Y- are used to define the customer localization customizing, other prefix letters are reserved for SAP updating! That's it!
