PGI from returns stock

Hi

Can v do PGI from return stock segment if stock is available in storage location in Return segment

Until unless you transfer the stock from return stock to unrestricted stock through MB1B with movement type 453 you cann't do PGI.

No you cannot do PGI from a return stock storage location. It has to be transferred to Unrestricted storage location and only then, you will be able to do PGI.

Hi GS,

Logically speaking when we take Customer returns,the returned stock will be 'Returns' which has to be cleared by Quality Inspection and then take Usage Decision and move to Unrestricted Stock for resale.

If the stock is not carrying any quality inspection status and if it is in unrestricted status, you can use for PGI.

To Deliver a stock, It has to be in Unresticted Stock and not Returned Stock. To deliver the stock currently available in Returned Stock, Trasfer posting requires to be done through Transaction Code: MB1B, using appropraite movement type which will move the stock fron Returned Stock to Unrestricted Stock. It can then be delivered.

Hi,

If it is not in unrestricted status, then you can't deliver. As mentioned before, the return stock, which is normally in restricted (QI stock) status, needs to be moved to unrestricted status before being used in outbound delivery.
