patch level rise from 7.6.04.10 to 7.6.04 Build 16 with 2 maxdbs in group

Dear Gentlemans,

We plan a patch level rise from 7.6.04.10 to 7.6.04 Build 16

But on host 2 maxdbs running in same group (and 2 saps).

Do we need to stop both of them during the patch?

you need to stop both of them until the independend software is updated.

After that you may restart the other system.

Anyhow, you really shouldn't install 7.6.04 patches anymore - if you're not running livecache or OneDB, then always take the current patch. At the moment the current patch is MaxDB 7.6.05 Build 12.

Don't know if I undestand you correctly.

Are you saying you use one software installation for two instances? If yes, then yes, you need to stop both.
