Hello, we are using igs version:
Version of ./igsmux_mt = 7000.0.11.1 - Oct 11 2007
Itu2019s running on our Solaris Unix box. We have both our Development and Test BW ABAP + dual stack systems on the same server. However, neither the Development nor Test igs instances are registering themselves as seen in transaction SMGW.
Our BW Production system igs is registering just fine with the same version and O/S.
At the O/S level, trying to see the igs BW development processes via doing a ps u2013ef |grep bwdadm I see:
/usr/sap/BWD/JC02/exe/igsmux_mt -mode=profile -restartcount=0 pf=/usr/sap/BWD/S
/usr/sap/BWD/JC02/exe/igspw_mt -mode=profile -no=0 -restartcount=0 pf=/usr/sap/
/usr/sap/BWD/JC02/exe/igspw_mt -mode=profile -no=1 -restartcount=0 pf=/usr/sap
Doing a unix command truss shows a constant pollsys for these processes.
The BW Development server is instance 00. If I telnet to the BW development server http://<bwdevserver>:40080 I get a response stating u201CSAP IGS is runningu201D.
netstat -an | grep -w 40080 shows a process is bound to this port.
But transaction SMGW isnu2019t showing it as a client logged in.
The profile parameters:
igs/listener/rfc is set to active value IGS.BWD,sapbwdev,sapgw00,60
igs/listener/http is set to an active value of 40080
And the program GRAPHICS_IGS_ADMIN using the default RFC destinations fails, as well as transaction SM59 and the TCP/IP destinations:
GFW_ITS_RFC and IGS_RFC_DEST because the program isnu2019t registered.
I am clueless.
Turns out that the igs server was trying to connect to sapgw02. Added profile parameter igs/listener/rfc = IGS.BWD,sapbwdev,sapgw00,60 to the J2EE instance and restarted the java instance
