Dear Gurus

I am trying to create with sale order with reference to return sale order. using VA01 and i gave sale order no for reference and selected line items and when i click on copy button, items are not being copied to sale order and it display error message "Copying ZDRE REN to ZDCR is not defined"

here ZDRE is return sale orderd

ZDCR ir credit memo request

How to copy the items to sales order

In standard the reurn cycle is Sales order (OR)--delivery(LF)-billimg(F2)---Return order ,order type (RE) Mandatory reference or should be referred to Billing doc -

return billing type is also RE only and this is nothing but credit memo only

From return order you can straight away do return billing that is credit memo

I dont understand why do you go for return credit memo request referencing a returen order?

Logically return order type RE defined in VOV8 is a credit memo request only(not actually)

The return billing type RE defined in VOFA is a credit memo only

If your business requirement is that only

In think in VTAA you have not given controls for return order type ZDRE to return credit memo request type ZDCR at item level

It looks like that you have defined only at header level

Go to VTAA choose your combination and define for item category REN controls at item level

Hi,

Go to copy controls of sales documents to sales documents

Select your ZDRE and ZDCR and click on item in dailogue menu.

Check whether REN is maintained or not.

If not maintained go to new entries(change icon-pen) and enter REN.

This may solve your issue.

Pls maintain REN for your order types via VTAA, i.e. choose your order types, then click "item", maintian REN.

What is the necessity ?? Can you please let me know what exactly you are doing.

As you may be aware against a return sale order, we can create a return delivery and credit memo but not a sale order.
