I am facing a problem in one of the instances of my CRM server.
I just restarted the CRM server but one of my instances failed to start.

What version of the kernel are you running?
OSS Notes 1136330 and 1022502 both have information regarding an error that you are seeing related to a bad version of the sapstartsrv.

Hi.
If i were you the first thing i would do is to clean up the shared memory used by your instance. You can do that with the cleanipc command. Just write cleanipc <Instancenumber> remove.
This command normally cleans the shared memory pools of your instance. Do that for all instance numbers. After that try to restart the instance.
I am working on UNIX and Linux only but i think it'S working for Windows too.

Hello all,
I have changed the sapstartsrv script and checked......it didnt work.
If it would had been the problem of kernel then why is this affecting only 1 insttance and not all???
I have even restarted the OS .......still the application instance is down.
Kindlly help me out of this.
