What version of the kernel are you running?

OSS Notes 1136330 and 1022502 both have information regarding an error that you are seeing related to a bad version of the sapstartsrv.

Hai,

Seems to be problem with the creation of Shared memory, try rebooting the server if possible.

or check the parameters for shared memory.

I would initially try to reboot the servers and see if it clears up. If not, then try updating the kernel to the latest version; there may be an issue with shared memory in your current kernel that has reared its head.

Hi.

If i were you the first thing i would do is to clean up the shared memory used by your instance. You can do that with the cleanipc command. Just write cleanipc <Instancenumber> remove.

This command normally cleans the shared memory pools of your instance. Do that for all instance numbers. After that try to restart the instance.

I am working on UNIX and Linux only but i think it'S working for Windows too.

best regards,

Martin

Hai,

Cleanipc is used only in UNIX and LINUX flavours, not in WINDOWS.

A restart of the Instance will do the job of cleanipc.

Please try rebooting the server in this case, or upgrade your kernel.
