BACKUP THROUGH DB13

Hi Gurus ,

In DB13 T-code , what is the difference between the Full Database online + redolog backup and Whole database online + redolog backup ? Kindly tell which type the best one to take backup daily .

In other word, nobody outside from your company can know...

I want to take the backup through DB13 into the local harddisk . So kindly tell me in which file and which parameter i have to change ? Kindly advice me .

Dear ,

you have to change below entry into init.sap

● Device type:

backup_dev_type = disk

· Backup directories:

backup_root_dir = e: ackupdir1

Dear,

As per me there is no difference.

You can use full offline backup + redologs.

If you can able to take downtime you can go ahead with full offline backup + redologs.
