Hi,
We have implemented Solution Manager service desk.
And at the point of entering an issue from the sattelite system, we cannot attach any documents or txt files.
when we try to attach a document, the issue entry screen is populated with characters.
And when we go in to Solution manager, and open that issue, the document is not attached, In the transaction data tab, we can again see the characters.
Please advice.

What is a system language set on your system?
How you are creating your message ? using Help -> Create Message ?

The system language is default and set to English.
Yes, we create the message by going in to the sattelite system > Help > Create message.
When we are in the solution manager system, we can attach documents from the message.
Issue is only when we are trying to attach a document from the sattelite system.

To create a message from Satellite system use Tx Code : NOTIF_CREATE
There you will find the attachment tab also.

Did you try creating message from Solution Manager itself?
By logging in solution manager(Not in Satellite system) go to Help -> Create Message try attaching file to that message....
If it does NOT work let us know what message or error occurs....
If it works then something is wrong in your satellite system....
Check the Basic requirements of Satellite system. Check the required support packs. like.. ST-PI 2005,ST-SER, ST-A/PI
