Universe - Outer Join

Hi all,

I am not getting Outer Join in Query level even though i selected ANSI91 yes and outer join check box

i am using XI r2.

please suggest me

Hi Reddeppa,

Outer Join depends on the Tables which you are trying to join using Outer Join. ANSI 92 parameter should be set to YES when you want Full Outer Join.

It all Depends on Between which tables you are performing Outer join, and Which objects you are taking on the report if you take objects from tables other than those connected by Outer Join then Report will behave Normally. You wonu2019t get the Outer Join.

If you want Only Left Outer join or Right Outer join Separately you can do it Without Using ANSI 92 Parameter.

You have to Set Outer Join for All Joins between tables on which Objects are Built and those you are taking on report. Not on particular Joins.

Also Check Whether The Data in DB is Outer Join Compatible. (Contain NULL For Particular column Values.)
