Previous filled values not coming up on pressing SPACE

Hi PPL,

This is a bit difficult to explain but still i wud try my best,

on any SAP transaction , when we use it the 2nd or 3rd time on pressing SPACE , we get previously filled data in a drop down fashion.in my case this is not happening.

Can anyone please help?

Hai,

Check the SAP Note: 399180 and the corresponding notes to get some data regarding the Filed history.

there was a problem with the windows madac/msjet components repairing windows resolved the problem

Dear Sachin

please look into your SAPWorkdir on your client:

1. are there any *.err.trc files? which entries has these error trace files?

please check the following:

1. delete the file SAPHISTORY<username>.mdb in the users SAPWorkdir

2. restart the saplogon or saplogonpad

3. logon to your system

4. look into the sapworkdir if there is saved a new created SAPHISTORY<username>.mdb file

5. if not then the i think the MDAC Installation is corrupt

hi Sven,

There are several *.err.trc files in my system and they have almost similar kind of enties ,i'm pasting the contents of one of these files :

(Error)(28.01.09 10:01:10.515): CSapHistoryDb::OpenDB: Could not create connection: -2147221164

Error : Loading local DB failed in frontend.

and i could not find the file SAPHISTORY<username>.mdb in the users SAPWorkdir

what should be the approach now?

do you hav checked the note 931540? was the repair of the MDAC successfull?

If not, please use the file in the attachemtn of the note 1176026 !

I'm sure the Microsoft MDAC Installation on your client is damaged.

i tried installind mdac following note 931540 but could not find the files for installation and as per the note 1176026 the program history.exe did nothing.

in the saplogon entry for the system, have you activated 'slow network connection'?
