error mobile device configuration

Hi All,

When I try and add an entry in the administer mobile devices section by selecting the user with the corresponding roles, the uploaded new mobile component/version and all devices checked. The entry does not add to the list.

Where could the problem be. Kindly advice.

Can you explain me in detail about your problem ..

and answer me the following point

1. How are you deploying the mobile component .. is it on web console?

2. What is the SP version of WebServer.

<b>Do you have atleast one device id for the user to whom you are assigning the application?</b>

If NO then read the solution below...

When you add an application to a user throu' web console...

Please ensure that the user whom you are assigning the application has atleast has 1 device id.

How the device id for the users gets generated?

The device id for a mobile device gets generated once the user for the mobile device synchronize with the mi server.

If your mobile device synchronize correctly it generates the device id.

The device id is unique for each mobile device.

If you have 2 types of MI(JSP & AWT) Client in your mobile device then for each type of mi client one device id will be generated.

You can see the device id from the MI client.

In the MI web console for administration I am trying to add a new try for device configuration. Here I want to add a component for all devices to a specific user and when I do so it does not add the entry and neither does it give an error message.

Hi Divya ,

u just try to login in to the MI server using DE(german language) .they have not maintained some of the facilities for EN language...

logoff and login using DE language as login language..

let me know...

just try in this way....

for additional parameters to come . u have to add some entries in your standard tables..

MEMGMT_PARAMETER and MEMGMT_PARA_COND

u must have the right to do this in the MI server...

for example .. if u want to add the parameter for resetting the password.. then try in this way

first

in this table MEMGMT_PARAMETER

add and save

PARAMETER ID -- ZRESPASS

AGENT ID -- MI_CONFIG

second step

-

---

add and save in MEMGMT_PARA_COND

PARAMETER ID -- ZRESPASS

PARAMETER VALUE -- MobileEngine.Security.ResetLocalLogonPassword

SET PARAMETER -- X

GET PARAMETER

TEXT -- reset password
