hi.....

if all active background jobs are got failed to recover what are all the necessary steps to recover?

Hai,

There can be number of reasons for a job to fail, if all the jobs in your system fails then there should be some serious problems.

In this case you have to check the available space in Tablespaces, Filesystem especially in the Instance directory. Jobs also fail due to memory problem in the server, if they do not get the necessary amount of memory to pull the data they will fai with short dumps (ST22), in this case you have to fine tune the memory parameters or debug your ABAP code.

Checking the job logs will give enough information about the error also you can check SM21 logs.

watch your file system.

often some important directorys are full, like the Redo-Log directory or sapdata
