DBCONNECt to MS SQLSERVER

Hi,

I have a request to install/configure the kernel extension to allow our BI (7.0, V5R4) system to read an MS SQLSERVER database. I've read a bunch of notes but am still uncertain as to what is required. I know the link does not exist in our exe/run directory.

Any insight?

This is not possible.

To make that possible there would need to be an SQL Server database client for i5 - which is not existing.

You can, however, install a Windows application server into your instance and make the connection from there.
