I am unable to delete infomation records at times if there is a document structure. We have Inventor IDWs and IPTs in SAP. The two are linked in a document structure. For some drawings, I can't delete the IPT or the IDW. I am using CDESK in SAP 4.7. If I try to delete the IDW I get the error "Engineering Change Mgmt called with data that cannot be interpreted". If I try to delete the IPT I get the error "Document cannot be deleted, already used". This is not a permission issue since I can typically delete DIRs. What is the proper way to delete documents in a document structure?
Thanks,
Joe
Remove the document from the document structure and then afterwards you can delete it. SAP will not allow you to delete anything as long as it is part of a structure. I.e. go to the DIR, go to the document structure, take the document out of the structure and then you can delete.
