Hi
i hav a small problem. Im having an Intel Xeon Processor 1.60Ghz Quad core 64bit.... So when im trying to install Oracle for ECC 6.0 IDES..... i have been given 3 directories
1.AMD64
2.IA386
3.IA64
So from this which one i need to choose to install for Windows 2003 R2 64bit machine.
thanks
Shashank...
You have to do installation from AMD64 directory becuase XEON is X64bit = AMD64.

Hi Shashank,
Chk which is your current proccessor type in environment variables:
Right Click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Environment Variables > System variables > PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE
If this is AMD64, then you have to install from the AMD64 folder.
Regards
AMD64 and Intel EM64T are synonyms, Intel licensed the 64bit from AMD:
Thanks Markus for the additional info...I didnt know that....so finally AMD is giving Intel a run for its money hehehe
