Packing Material

Hi gurus ,

Can anybody help in understanding the relationship between the Packing material and material for which this Packing material is going to use?

Is it possible for us to get us this data from any table?

Hi

Packing Material is the material that is used to pack the basic Material, (Like the finished goods), now if you want to pack this packing material, you have created another packing material.

Let me give an example:

1. Packing Material - Box for packing the Finished Product

2. Packing Material - Carton - Used for Packing the Boxes.

Now you will be maintaining the Carton as Packing Material for Packing the Boxes in Material Master Basic Data 1 and sales order Gen/Plant.

It looks like

Material Grps Packing Material - Carton

Packing Material - Box
