Hi Nirmala,
Master/Slave is one of the configuration used as a backup. In which Master is the main repository and slave is the readonly copy of master repository. Whenever master repository is changed either data or structure, using Synchronize slave command changes will get reflected in all the slaves of that master. We can create slave repository on some other database so if one database server crashes we can continue using the slave repository located on other database.
In order to create master repository select the repository, right click on it and say Create Slave. Any Slave or Master repository can break the relationship by using Normalize repository command.
