SAP spool error log

Print request processing log

The host spool is reporting errors

Unintelligible response received from assumed SAPLPD

(SAP)LPD cannot accept request (Queue GBDAL11CAPS104 disabled?)

Unable to establish connection to SAPLPD

3 connection attempts terminated with network errors.

For more information, look in the system log or developer trace

Unable to connect to output processor

Request rejected: Error determined after 76 attempts to process.

There may be no printout

Documentation for system log message FA A :

The link to a lpd or SAPLPD was rejected by this.

Known reasons are:

- remote computer has DEC Ultrix as an operating system: The name

of the computer of the print editor must be contained in the file

/etc/hosts.lpd of the remote computer and the print editor must run

under user ID 0 (root).

please help me to resolve issue ASAP.

Hai,

I guess you are using remote printing, and the error says:Queue GBDAL11CAPS104 disabled

Please enable the remote queue from /etc/qconfig file as root user.

Use the following command:

enable <queue name>

To check whether the queue is up/down use:

lpstat -p<queue name>.

u r absolutely right we r using remote printing

as per u r suggestion i have

nlxdsm92:p29adm 51> lpstat -p

printer dy01 is idle. enabled since Oct 29 10:44

fence priority : 0

printer dy02 is idle. enabled since Oct 29 10:44

fence priority : 0

printer dy03 is idle. enabled since Oct 29 10:44

but nlxdsm92:p29adm 56> more /etc/qconfig|grep -i DABQ

/etc/qconfig: No such file or directory

nlxdsm92:p29adm 57>

nlxdsm92:p29adm 59> cd /etc

nlxdsm92:p29adm 60> ls -altr qconfig

qconfig not found

Hello Mohsin,

If this is remote printing please first check if you are able to connect to destination host. This can be done in SPAD. If that is fine then check if the printer itself is working fine. I mean don't check for SAP print outs but normal window printouts.
