Hi

I need to install Content server. I have ECC6.

Can I install content server on a separate host or content server is built-in with ECC6. Please help

Also if it is not built-in , from where I can download it .. I cannot see it at service.sap.com/swdc

Hi Farooq,

The SAP Content Server is a stand-alone component in which a large quantity of electronic documents of any format and with any content can be stored.The SAP applications concerned must support the use of the SAP Content Server. The documents can be saved either in one or more MaxDB instances or in the file system.

Normally there will be a separate instance for the content server where u can store the documents. please check below link for the same.

Coming to the Dumps u can get from Netweaver 04S

Installations and Upgrades-->" SAP NetWeaver" -->SAP NETWEAVER" -->SAP NETWEAVER 7.0

else search for the term content server in the installations and upgrades list.

It says..

SAP Content Server is shipped with NetWeaver 2004s SR1.

in the Master DVD go to SAP NetWeaver 2004s SR1 -> Standalone Engine -> Content Server -> Content Server or Cache Server

SAP Content Server is a separate from ECC and use its own Database.

SAP CS installation files and installation Guide can be downloaded from SAP Marketplace. Just search for SAP Content Server or look in the software catalog.
