Hi,

Have to check the cluster gouprs is moving or not. Check all the possiblities like moving groups from Node A to B and B to A.

Try to restart one node, so that automatically the groups should move to the other node and vice versa.

Create a file in one of the disk in node A then move the group to other node try to access the file.

Do change to the same file and move it back to Node A.

Check for Virtual Hostnames(node A & B), maintain a DNS entry for the system.

After this system is ready for installation.

Hi,

In MSCS we cant use MMC to start and stop the SAP Instance, we have to use Microsoft Cluster Administrator snap-in to start and stop the SAP instance. We can do that by just taking the SAP cluster group offline.

To start and stop oracle, By default OFS will not allow oracle to go down if both nodes are online. If you make the oracle group offline, It will automatically move to second node and get started from there. Best way will be to shutdown one of the node or stop OFS service and then make oracle cluster group offline.

Hope it helps

Hi,

You cannot stop sap from MMC console in a cluster environment, instead you have to do in the cluster service. Open your windows cluster, click on the sap r/3 service and bring it offline.

Oracle Fail Safe installation and configuration is detailed in the installation document. You can download it from

www.service.sap.com/instguides
