The category was replicated from R/3,now whne trying to delete in COMM_HIERARCHY getting the follwoing error message
"Category ********* (from system WRPCLNT100) still in use in table BBP_PDIGB"

That is because you have pdts that are using this Pdt category in the documents in SRM.

i can stop procurement by removing PG in org structure .

This is a typo. The table should read BBP_PDIGP. See note 1855690
how to delete product category in SRM.
You can delete the pdt category in Transaction COMM_HIERARCHY, in the change mode.
The system will allow you to delete the Pdt categories replicated from the R/3 system with a warning message.
If you want to delete the SRM LOcal pdt categories, i guess you have to first remove the Purchasing group responsibility & then try deleting them.
