Hi,

U can use status profile for fulfilling ur requirement.

This will block the sales order unless a authorised person releases it .

1. Create Status Profile: TCode for Status Profile: BS02

U need to maintain the status u want to assign to the document along with the authorization key.

After u mainatain the entries goto details and here u can set which business transaction u need to block.

2. Assign the status profile to Order types / item categories .

Hi,

In the overview of sales order you can find the indicators of Delivery block and Billing block at Sales tab page, the indicators can help you to block further processing with the sales order until manager approve it.

Good luck

Hi,

You can maintain delivery block and billing block for your order type in Tcode vov8.Enter order type and set billing and delivery block. So when ever your executive creates a sales order Automatically sales order is blocked for further processing i.e delivery or billing.Than if you want to have further processing than you need to remove billing block, invoice from sales order Through va02.

Hi

To make a sales order block for delivery, see that you maintain Delivery Block in the Shipping Tab for your sales document type in VOV8.

Now see that the Endusers does not have the authorization for releasing the document. Ask your basis guys, he can restrict the users from accessing the Transaction codes like VA02.

The Managers can be given authorization to release/unblock the sales order in VA02.so that his approval is taken before we can proceed further.

HI

Use the status profile

create a status profile and enter the same in VOV8

or in vov8 in shipping tab

use delivery block so that order will be blocked for delivery

sales manager can remove the block in VA02

but my client scienario is Make To Order. And if that order is seen by production people they will carry out production with reference to that sales order. I want to restrict that sales order to be seen by any other people unless it is released by sales manager.

Thanks.......!

Hi Parag,

You can set 2 types of blocks , Delivery block and Billing block at the time of Sales Order creation.

In your case, the Sales Executive who creates the Sales Order can set a "Delivery Block " ,so that any further processing of the Sales Order is stopped until an Authorised Person approves this Sales Order ,and releases the block.

If your Sales Executive creates a Sales Order and puts a "Delivery Block".

This Order would not be processed until your Sales Manager reviews it and removes the "Delivery Block".

For this you need to give following access rights to your persons:

Sales Executive (who creates the Sales Order) : Should have access to ONLY VA01 transaction.

Sales Manager : Should have Access to VA02/VA03 for checking the

Sales Order and removing the Delivery block.

The Production persons : Should not access to any Sales order

transactions, but should have access to Post - Sales

transactions,like

create delivery Due list(VL04).

ONLY Sales Orders approved / released by Sales

manager would be applicable for delivery.

They can also be given access to view the List of

Sales Orders (VA05) which have blank value in the

Column - delivery Block.

In case of more queries and clarifications, please revert back.

Thanks and Regards,

Umesh Karane.
