Hello SDNers,
I have to change the client in the portal side from the default client (001) to 300.
I suppose i have to do this in system administration->system configuration->ume configuration.
Is there any other configurations that need to be done ??
Waiting for your advice to proceed.
Thanks,
Abhilash
Hi,
You can change that in two ways as follows:
1. Using visual admin.
- Goto visual admin --> server0 --> services --> UME Provider
- Check for the below parameters.
ume.r3.connection.master.client
ume.r3.connection.master.passwd
2. Using Config tool (Instance must be down)
- Goto to configtool --> switch to configuration editor mode
- expand CTC --> double click "Propertysheet SystemProperties"
- Check for BACKEND_CLIENT, BACKEND_SID, J2EE_ADMIN, J2EE_ADMIN etc.

Hello Kishore,
Thanks for your advice.
Actually you will find com.sap.security.core.ume.service in 2 places within the configtool
1) Global Server Configuration -> Services ->
2) Instance -> Server_ * -> Services ->
You have to change the client details at both places!
I overlooked this.
Now the issue is solved.

Abhilash
you should be able to do that from config tool (editor mode)
cluster-data ->server -> cfg -> services -> propertysheet com.sap.security.core.ume.service
ume.r3.connection.master.client
