SSO with 6.20 WAS and Oracle Internet Directory

Hi,

My company has standardised on the Oracle Single Sign on system which uses an LDAP server OID (Oracel Internet Directory).

As this system doesn't seem to produce X509 certificates I am trying to find out if there is any there way of getting SAP to communicate with this LDAP server and provide my users with single sign on to their BW Web reports.

Inline with the above I am also trying to find out if SAP uses Federated or Delegated Authentication.

Regards

Paul.

Are you trying to get the portal to authenticate against the OID or are you trying to get it to accept tokens/cookies from OID?

Further, does the communication need to be SSL?

Nick,

I am not using SAP portals. I have created some BSPs that require logon to the SAP system and am trying to get the ICM to accept logon authentication from the OID.

The communication does not need to be SSL and preferably doesn't have to be.

Thanks

Paul.

Nicholas,

Does OID support EP SP12 on WAS 6.40?

Is there any documentation on this?

Thanks.

With the ABAP stack this should work in 6.20 already.

But I'm to less an ABAP specialist (none at all) to tell you more.

Benny,

Thanks, but I don't suppose you have any further pointers. I have read various help files and articles re LDAP and SAP but am none the wiser whether or not this is all compatible for the 6.20 WAS release.

Paul.
