Hi DMS Team,
I saved a workbook using excel 2007 and now when someone using version 2003 try to open it, this error message appears: "Workbook format .xlsx is supported only from office excel 2007 version".
Does anyone know how to fix this without having to install office 2007?
Regards
Meenakshi
Dear Meenakshi
The problem is not with SAP. Even u download an Excel 2007 file from elsewhere and save in ur desktop, it wont open unless u have Excel 2007 installed in ur PC.
In SAP DMS, any file format wud open if
1) You have made settings in dc30 for the corresponding file extension, here .xlsx
2) The front end PC should have the corresponding software to run the file.
SAP says "Any program that can read a file name as a parameter can be started as the workstation application for processing the original application file from the DMS"
More details at
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/c1/1c31a243c711d1893e0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm
In ur case for opening an Excel 2007 file u shud have
1) .xlsx format included in dc30
2) Excel 2007 installed in ur machine..
Another option is viewing through Integrated ECL viewer.. For this also u have to make necessary settings in dc30
