Hi,
I have Inspection Lot creted with out Inspection Plan assigned to it. If I create a Inspection Plan now and try to assign it to Inspection Plan manually (QA02), is it possible ?
If it is possible, is this a acceptable as a good practise.
Thanks,
hello Misra,
This is possible and this way it is done for CRTD lots.
Yes this is a standard procedure defined for attaching the inspection lot.
for eg In some industries there are cases for each order there is a separate material created. The material will be created by a person who may not know quality process. he will activate the necessary inspection type and activate the material.
Lot will be created and lot will in CRTD state. Quality person who only knows what MIC to be attached for the material creates the inspection plan and attaches it through QA02.
Hope this helps you

Hi Ravi
But in some cases it may happen that your lot creation date and inspection plan creation date may have big difference so in that case you have to change the KEY date in the inspection lot and then only your inspection lot get attached with the respective inspection plan.
Thanks
