Dear All

In master data the Date is current date say 16.01.2009 say (CS01.CA01,SU01etc)

In Transaction data say MIGO,F-53 etc takes 17.01.2009.

IN Operating system the current date is 16.01.2009.

In Su01 the user settings are

System Time zone is CET.Time format is 24 hour format

Kindly advice me how to resolve this issue.

Hello Jay,

Surprising. Do you have mutiple application servers? If so try to see how the data (both master and transaction) gets created on the same application server. Also please Check OSS note 481835.

Dear Jay,

It sounds like the "Nightmare on Elm street" where Freddy comes keep back to haunt you again and again in various sequels though.

Anyways what are the current user settings.

Thanks,

So when the user is creating the transaction data the e is showing up as 17.01.2009 while if he is creating master in transactions like CS01 the date is showing up as 16.01.2009. Is this occuring for all users or only for one user. Did the user log out atlleast once after you made these changes.? If not please ask them to do so and then relogin and re check.

For all users the same settings are there and we tried logging out and logging in twice its not this problem and as per your advice we checked with SAP note and as per instructions we ran the program in SE38 - Program name - TZCUSTDISP this was the output

Kindly check and advice

Hello Jay,

From the output you have given:

sy-zonlo : CET

sy-datlo : 17.01.2009

sy-timlo : 03:57:05

sy-datum : 16.01.2009

sy-uzeit : 18:57:05

is the interesting part.

sy-datlo refers to Date and time, local date of user and

sy-timlo refers to Date and time, local time for user.

This is not same as

sy-datum - Date and time, current (application server) date

sy-uzeit - Date and time, current (application server) time

This clearly shows that user time settings and system settings are not the same.

It seems that CA01 gets data from sy-datum while MIGO picks sy-datlo .

I checked this by changing my own user settings.

SAP may have designed this so as to >:

1. Master data creation date must not change with change in location

2. For transaction data it is important that exact time of transaction from user perspective is recorded.

In your case please recheck if user time and system times are same. If not please adjust if you wish to do so. Ask users for a log out and then relogin.

If it doesnot work may refresh of user buffer is an option. But I would also recommend to check with SAP as well.
