variant issue

Pls help to solve. Thx.

Issue: During sales order creation, the msg below keeps poping up & the document date shows the variant creation date - 2008.11.25.

"Date 2008.11.25 is in the past Message no. V1437".

Request: How to suppress the msg for Tcode VA01 because the variant does not exist?

Background: One variant against Tcode VA01 is created. This variant changes the standard screen for VA01. Later it is deleted via SHD0, and removed from the order type.

Dear Cathy,

If you remove the assignment of variant from the ordertype it should not reflect in the sales order.

The easy way to avoid this is by creating a new order type and assign to the sale area and use the new order type.

But the order types, etc have been customized for the customer. It's not proper to change. Moreover, it will change much.

Any suggestions?
