Release order of quantity contract not checking the quantity of the contrac

Hi,

We have a quantity contract where in the item category i maintained B as a completion rule and X indicator in the update document flow field in the copy control at the item level.But when i create the sales order with reference to that contract where my sales order quantity exceeds the contract quantity system is not throwing the error message .

Coudl anybody tell me what i need to do in this regard?

Hi,

In Item category of the contract(KMN in Standard), as u said u need to maintain the Completion Rule as "C", since in contract the quantity is maintained as Target Quantity.

It should throw an error if the quantity exceeds that of the contract.

I think, you should use Completion rule "C" instead of B.

Normally rule B is meant for Quotation (AGN).

Please try once with value C.

I maintained C in the completion rule in the item category.

But still no message even on exceeding the quantity,
