SAPDBA ERROR

Hello Everyone,

I done 4.6c non-ides installation on windows 2003 using oracle 9i.

when i am trying to executive sapdba tool, i am getting below error:

This application has failed to start because orasql8.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Please help.

Hi,

I faced this problem, assuming like you are using 46D_EXT kernel.

Upgrade kernel to latest version, I have upgraded to version 2415 and the problem got sovled.

Hai,

orasql8.dll is not found under the bin directory or corrupted or permission issues.

If it is permission issue change to appropriate permissions, if corrupted you have to replace the dll.

It is better to use BRTOOLS since you are in Oracle 9i.

Hi Yoganand,

I downloaded DBATOOLS Package for Oracle 9.2.x under SAP KERNEL 6.40 32-BIT UNICODE systems. i am unable to uncar dbatl.sar file i am getting error: format error in header. I am using sapcar commnad.

I am going in a right way?

Can you help on this.

Upgrade your SAPCAR to a new version. The format changed

SAPCAR has to be version 2.00 or above. go with a datestamp of year 2006 or better.

SAPDBA is VERY old an no more supported.

Use brtools instead.
