Suggested Architecture-GATP

Hi Experts (esp. the ones who have worked on GATP extensively),

I have the following concerns to be reassured of.

Assume

- A geographically diverse corportation with multiple execution systems (SAP ECC)

- Multiple countries <=> Multiple Homogeneous markets => multiple legal entities/country => mutiple business system groups !

- The corporation wants to have say 1 GATP BOX as a central instance for all availability checks and scheduling (delivery) to happen.

- The orignationg events are 100% in execution system. (sales docs, PIR's etc). The oder lines processed are V V Large. (the largest say a consumer products company can become)

- The company does not intend to use any of the other application components within APO and SCM in the GATP box. Planning activities can be local/ market/country.

Would could be the GATP (assume SCM 5.0) functional and technical and performance limitations in such a scenaro. Could someone suggest alternative technical and solution architecture.. high level will do do realize this need. Any other tips are welcome (business processes ot sales order to shipping in such a scenario)
