Administrator locked- WAS 6.40-SP15

Hi,

I have installed SP15 version available in sdn downloads. This installs WAS,MAXDB and PORTAL. After installation when i tried to login using "Administrator" user it says "Authentication failed" . When i logged in as SAP* user, i could see that the administrator was locked. Even after unlocking it, and deactivating SAP* user, iam not able to login as administrator. Basically just after installation administrator is locked.Any idea..? Did any body faced this prob with SP15?

Hi,

Iam sure that i didnt forget the password, nor i typed it incorrectly. We have installed the software in 3 machines and we face the same problem in all the machines.

Hi Sujesh,

While SAP* user is activated, all other users are deactivated.

after deactivating the SAP* user , have u restared ur server?.

it is recommended to restart the server after deactivating the SAP* user ..

My problem is that the Administrator user was locked just after the installation got over...Dont know how it happened

Hi,

we are using SP15 WAS, MaxDB, Portal and NWDI and we have no issues.

i think you must have forgotten the Admin password.

you can reset the password in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/99/281540bf1af72ee10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

if this isnt working the best way out will be to reinstall.
