SRM MDM Catalog server installation

Hi,

I am a BASIS consultant and have been asked to install and configure SRM MDM Catalog server in our landscape.

We already have MDM server 5.5 in our landscape with following components installed.

1. MDM Server

2. MDM clients (Console, Data Manager, Import Manager, Publisher, Syndicator)

3. Import Server, Syndication Server, Publisher Server

Please let me know whatelse I have to install and configure for SRM MDM catalog server.

Hi,

You can use the existing installed components but you need to find the SCA files(SRMCAT2.0.sca and MDMJavaAPI.sca) compatible with the MDM Server version else you will not be able to communicate with SRM Server. Another thing is use the SRM-MDM installables available on the service market place which has all the necessary components for SRM-MDM.

First setup the MDM Server i.e. install MDM and Database and configure them.

Deploy the SCA files on any WAS within the landscape.

Configure the Extrenal Web Servive in SRM system.

Change the Organizational Plan.

Configure the Search UI as per the requirement.
