Hi,
As per our current requirment, our application will be developed in the NWDS and deployed over the EP Server. The same needs to be accessed from PDA.
The following are the clarifications from my side
1. can i access the link(url of the deployed application) from the mobile device directly.
2. do i need to deploy the application onto the device.
Thanks,
vijay.
Hi Vijay,
As mobile browsers are not capable of displaying complex ui elements used in portal it is recomended to use Mobile WebDynpro for this kind of requirements. you can develop the application using mobile webdynpro and deploy it to the sap J2ee Engine. and then use the url to access it through the mobile device.
Following links will give you the details about Mobile Webdynpro:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/Helpdata/EN/7d/28fa3e7cb1d861e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-mobile?rid=/library/uuid/949f8421-0a01-0010-59ad-f961a4834c13
And secondly you need not deploy the application into the device you can use the url of mobile webdynpro application deployed in the J2ee Engine(Java Stack) of any sap server.

Thank you, this was just to confirm some critics earlier.
Currently iam stuck in the post installation of MI Server
when i am trying use Mobile Archieve Converter in Netweaver Administrator i am getting error message
"Could not connect to middleware"
My MI Client is configured correctly and able to generate war file, i need to import the
WAR file using the Mobile Archieve Converter to generate SDA.
Do i need to do any configurations before using this screen.
Thanks
vijay
hi
if it is regarding the Mi server you have to select the option Mobile Archive converter and in that select the application of type Appplication and give the application name ,version no.,buildno and select for the .war file
and you do not need to go for any additional setting as far as iam concern.

Dear Vijay,
Are you using the Mobile Adminsitrator with a Mobile Admin user (not the service user you created). This admin user is having full mobile admin rights? Like the Identity Management/UME Role - SAP_JAVA_NWMOBILE_ADMIN_SUPER
If the user is having the proper rights and even then you are having problems, then try doing the following.
Please re deploy sapjra.rar with the new client settings. Also if not already done, copy the JRAFactory service for your language (For example -English).
You can refer to this link if you are having any queries on both the steps involved:

Hi Vijay,
U can directly give the url to access the application from PDA.No need to deploy on the device. But if u r using mobile infrastructure for ocassionally connected u need to deploy the application to the device.
