Material in Warrenty

Dear SAP Gurus,

Well the scenario is that i am going to sold the material and that material is in warrenty, and wht ever happen customer comes to u with the material and saying that its in the warrenty.so where to maintain the warrenty to know that this material is in warrenty while returning the good?

Hi,

According to my understanding this is determined(Whether the material in under warranty or not) with the help of Serial number of that material.
