what is diff bet RFQ & bid Invitation?

Hi,

The requirement criteria will differ in case of RFQ and Bid Invitation.

RFQ is calling a quotation from suppliers where your intention is collecting data for independent sourcing decision.

Bid Invitation is a strategic sourcing event where the bidder understand that they are directly submitting quotation for a specific order and in a competative environment.

Hi,

RFx (RFI,RFP,RFQ), RFQ and Bid Invitation are same document business object. Just different name.

Bidding Engine is something like component name handling RFx.

SRM 7.0 use only "RFx" terminology. Old release use "Bid Invitation".
