MSCS installation on SQL Server2005

Hello,

Currently we have installed the ECC6 SR1 on MSCS and DB SQL Server 2005.

We are facing the problem with Cluster group. If we start the Service SAP<SID>_NR the resources that are related to the cluster group also restarts.

And we are loosing the connection to Cluster Group. It seems to be a problem with IP address which assigned to the cluster group.

During that time if we ping the IP , it shows Request Time out.

The virtual server name that is given as input parameter while installing SAP is the nameof the cluster group. (example:prodclust and the ip is of the same prodclust)

We are not sure whether we need to create a virtual server during the creation of cluster group at windows.

Thanks and Regards

Madhav

Hi Rizwanulhaq,

Sapinst automatically creates a cluster group whose name is "SAP <SID>",

which contains such cluster resources as IP, NetName, etc.

You should control the service with Cluster Administrator, not with Control Panel.

Did you trying rebooting the servers?

Best Regards,
