Hello All,
At my current client they want to activate Budget control. The important thing is that they are going to only use WBS structure and not any activities and Netwroks in PS.
How best this functionality can be used, with only use of WBS ? Will this functionality work during the Budget release ?
Please eloborate and let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Sarang
You can activate Budget availibility control aginst Overall Budget / Released Budget.
Infact, Budget availability control functionality is designed at WBS level only.
All you need to do is create required Budget profile and assign the same to your project profile.

Budgeting Control can be used for Project where you want to have control over Project costs.
you can Plan your Project using cost Planning Trx CJ40 at WBS level.
Then you can do the budgeting using CJ30.
Then you can raise Commitments and post actuals through.
You can have check for Commitments and actuals against Available budget using AVAC function
For this you will have to define Budget Profile trx OPS9 and tolerancel limits Trx OPSC
Also the you can check the subsequent reports for Budget/Actual from Trx S_alr_87013558.

Dear Sarang,
Budgeting can be at WBS level only. Yes you can very well do budgeting for your project structure. Go to T-code CJ30 and do the budgeting for the relevant WBS elements. Depending on your business scenario you will have to decide whether to go for overall or annual budgeting.
Once you are done with assigning the budget to the respective WBS go to T-code CJ32 and release the budget. Before doing this you need to maintain a budget profile as mentioned in the previous post.
