Rates Configuration Question

Former Member

Hi Gurus

To configure the Rates it is necessary to update under these 2 Config Option:

SPRO -> IMG -> Collaboration Projects -> Connection to External Systems ->

Accounting Integration -> Define Cost/Revenue Rates

(Replicate to ERP)

SPRO -> IMG -> Integration with other mySap.com Componenents

-> Collaboration Projects -> Controlling -> Assign Cost Elements and Activity Types

Would anyone be able to explain why 2 functions are needed, I can only assume that updates in differing areas of SAP are occurring.

Would really appreciate some clarification on this.

Many Thanks

Hi

Earlier (R3 4.6c time) cProjects and xRPM was on separate server. Hence there were no objects of Controlling or Financials.

Hence the cost revenue rates and org unit etc were stored in cProjects server and then the data was replicated to FICO system.

Hence that Replicate node is required.

Still some org are using this landscape even if they have upgraded to ECC.

So SAP must have kept the process same.

Here to achieve this in system where ECC itself has cProjects/xRPM, while using replicate node, use RFC as NONE (case sensetive)

Points welcome if info is useful !

Hi.

You can choose to have cProjects (PPM) in a separate back-end system in your system landscape. In this case data like cost elements & activity types are not available there.

In order to map the rates to the controlling objects you therefore first then need to move the rates from cProjects/PPM backend to ERP in order to make the mapping.
