Hi!
I have the following question regarding ChaRM
Within one Trusted/Trusting connection there are a Server system and Client system. If a user from Client calls the server then she/he must have on Server the authorization object "S_RFCACL" (with the data of client system).
Now we have detected that our CHARM-DEVELOPER user needs the authorization object "S_RFCACL" with data of SOLMAN system.
Question: It means that SOLMAN calls SOLMAN itself. Is it true and necessary?
Further question:
How can we identify which SAP systems are clients and which systems are Server in SOLMAN ChaRM environment?
This is necessary to know because of the assignment of S_RFCACL authorization
Any helpful information information will be very appreciated!
Hi,
Solman and the satellite systems should be the trusting and trusted systems (as 'server' and 'client' in your words) for each other, which means, you'd better assign S_RFCACL authorization to the user in both systems.
In some cases in ChaRM, the trusted RFC called from satellite system to Solman is be used. For example, the cross-system object locking function, when developer save his change in the transport request, the trusted RFC from dev to Solman will be used to check if conflict exists.

Ginny
