Hostname is truncated to 8 character in transaction ST06

Hello experts,

I'm having a huge problem with my netweaver 7 system.

The problem arises in ST06 transaction in details across servers. It just appear 2 systems in spite of 6 because servernames are being truncated to 8 characters.

Since I have 6 application servers that have names server0001, server0002, server0003, server1001, server1002, server1003 it just appears in ST06 names "SERVER00" and "SERVER10".

Does anyone know the solution for this problem?

It's quite important to get this working because earlywatch alert reports don't report anything from application servers.

How is ti showing in SM51? Did you recently updated the kernel or applied support pack? Check the host file entry for the application server name, if not then try to put. May help , let us know.
