How to change the category of system messages in PS

Is it possible to change the category (i.e from information to warning/error) of the system messages like CN707 in PS? If yes how?

In my opinion, not in PS. Try it out in MM.

Hi,

Can you explain the scenario in terms of "What you are doing in system" & "What system response you expect against your action". There are few SAP notes available reg this message but as scenario is not clear I am unable to suggest any. Also let us know the SAP version you are working on.

if i am changing a component quantity for which PO has been made i am getting a message that PO has been made this requisition. I want to make the message an error rather than information.

SAP version is ecc 6.0

You will have to go for development. Use userexit CNEX0009.
