Hi,

If you want to Initialize Planning Area using transaction code : SE38

Provide the Program name : /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZE

Planning version :000

and provide the time horizon according to Storage Bucket Profile

then execute.

It will take the time depending upon your data.

better schedule in back ground job.

Hi,

What do you mean by time series object creation? Initializing a planning area?

While it is true that it depends on the size of storage bucket profile, it should not take so long any way. How are you doing this??

Try scheduling it as a background job using the program SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZE

. You also have the option to use a parallel processing profile. While the job is running, you can see the status in SM50 if it is hung up or locked.

Sai, 6 Hrs. is a loooooooooong time. May be you should ask your basis to monitor the system processes when the initialization is done.

It depends on the amount of data you have. Recently we created Timeseries objects for out production system and it took 6 hrs to complete that job whereas it just took 10 min to complete in Dev system. Also just make sure no user has locked the PA.

Hi,

Actually it`s depend up on your planning area Key figure & Date (Start & End Date) maintened in to Storage bucket profile of planning area. Anyhow system wont take this much time to create time series.

Just check with basis team. May be some connection issue will be there.
