Hi,

What is SD Vertex? What is trhe link between SAP & Vertex?

Why Vertex system is used?how its helpful in calculating output tax?

VERTEX is a third party tool to manage Taxation, which is commonly used in USA. Tax mapping are ideally not mapped in SAP, but integrated through VERTEX. VERTEX, TAXWARE are such third party tools, which are very strong in handling Taxation in USA environment, as the Taxes are governed by State and not common in all state.

Yes Vistex is also a third party partner with some innovative solutions for FMCG environments.

They have a special rebate module, that's kind of funny because there is already a rebate solution in SAP!

I have not dealt with Vertex but was given to understand that it is a third party software for determining tax in sales and billing documents based on Jurisdiction Codes of Ship To Party.
