What is SD Vertex? What is trhe link between SAP & Vertex?

Why Vertex system is used?how its helpful in calculating output tax?

Like the previous reply stated, Vertex is a third-party billing party. We currently utilize an external billing system (ConsumerLinx) that previously belonged to Alliance Data Systems. Do you know what application you are using from Vertex?

I have not dealt with Vertex but was given to understand that it is a third party software for determining tax in sales and billing documents based on Jurisdiction Codes of Ship To Party.
